Hasenbart's annual lathe cut picture disc for the winter season arrives a few moments later than usual but it was well worth the wait. None other than Hamburg Pop and Avantgarde Futurist Felix Kubin delivers a whimsical and more than apt sound collage in hommage to the rather ridiculous "Coughs & Sneezes Spread Diseases" public health campaign of the 1940's (focusing on sneezes for the moment). Guest sneezers were provided by artists and musicians Mariola Brillowska, Jacques Palminger (Studio Braun), Richard von der Schulenburg (RVDS), Alexander Schubert, previous contributor Vicki Bennett (People Like Us) and many others.
Looking out of the window this must be the most timely release of the moment (politics aside) with large parts of Germany and the rest of the Northern Hemisphere (including the Meditarrenean islands) covered in snow and afflicted by storms and floods (at least here in Hamburg).

London duo Dan Hayhurst and Reuben Sutherland have grown into one of the most compelling live acts on the festival circuit with their psychedelic optomusical performances,
showcasing an engaging blend of experimental pop, condensing various strains of british electronic music, from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop to the more abstract Techno variations of recent years.
Their recorded output is pure eye and ear candy with Hayhurst's fierce musical collages illustrated by Sutherland's kaleidoscopic artworks. Often incorporating mesmerizing zoetropic animations printed on picture discs, the moving images reveal themselves under a strobe light or viewed through a digital camera or a self-built viewing device.

X-mas shopping craze; an acoustic foray through Europe's biggest shopping mall bursting into psychedelic excess.

"Dreaming" / 8" Lathe Cut Cardboard Disc
Hasenbart's Xmas release of 2014 came from renowned UK artist Vicki Bennett aka People Like Us. The previously unreleased Dreaming was a new edit of a plunderphonic collage of several versions of a well known Christmas tune (originally dubbed over selected horror film samples) and was part of a People Like Us live performance entitled The Magical Misery Tour.
